May is Junsu’s time to lead the JYJ’s fans into the world of spell with his Tarantallegra, the title for his first solo album. He even becomes the most anticipated singer this month, based of survey on music site Monkey 3 with 40% fans gaining votes.
On April 30, C-jes Entertainment, JYJ’s agency, released the teaser poster of Junsu’s first solo album on JYJ’s official Facebook account (www.facebook.com/CJESJYJ).
In the teaser poster, Junsu is wearing a cloak, showing a dark image. There’s also a phrase that reads Xia Tarantellegra, which is the album’s title.
A spokesperson for Junsu says, “The title of Junsu’s first solo album is Xia. Xia is a representative identity of Jun Su. It also means a type of album that combines all the talents of Junsu.”
Tarantellegra, which is written in a strong style, means a magic spell that makes people dance. It’s the lead track composed by Junsu.
It’s indeed true Tarantallegra song and spell was made only for Junsu’s sexy voice. His dance show how clever choreographer is in reading Junsu’s dance. This is not only music video with the strong beats and take us into the dance floor and shake our body. Tarantallegra hyptonizes us, leads us to hear and look only to Xia Junsu.
The setting is not also the joke. The dark room with brown shadow spread around make Junsu is the only thing we’ll see.
Don’t know how the producer of this music video set it, the rap from Flowsik, the dance from Junsu, the song and whisper from him, and even Junsu’s glare, is totally the real magical spell packed in a song.
Junsu composed and arranged the song and JUNO wrote the lyrics. You could feel the strong beat and various sound. The song becomes more fabulous by the rap featured by Flowsik and choreography from Jeri Slaughter and his team who worked with Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey
Junsu is not the singer only, he is the artist with countless talents. He even look so pretty as a girl in this misic video. This man is not afraid showing his other side, his beauty side as a man. That’s why, Tarantallegra is worth it to get the round of applause even an official reward.
But it seems like our expectation really out of reality. Recently, on May 12th, Junsu tweeted “You can stop streaming, or whatever it’s called. I am satisfied with being able to make good music, and sing good songs. And I am satisfied to have fans like you who will listen to that music. Fairness has been something long gone for us anyway. Even still, I will not become weary.”
On May 11, Junsu released song “I Don’t Like Love” from his solo album “Xia Tarantallegra” as an O.S.T. for the drama “Rooftop Prince,” in which fellow member Yoochun is taking part. Although the song reached number one on various charts immediately after it’s release, at the moment, “I Don’t Like Love” is outside in the twenties on Mnet and MelOn, and within the top ten on Olleh Music.
I personally thought this is related to problem with SM Entertainment. As we know this agency has a powerful role to change the fact. Just like Junsu, JYJ even has no award from music site. What weird is their song even at the top in international music site.
The second teaser video of Junsu’s first solo album will be released on May 2 on JYJ’s official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/CJESJYJ), and the jacket photo will be released on May 4.
Junsu will hold his first concert at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on May 19 and 20. He will then start his concert tour in Asia. He will hold live concerts in six Asian countries, and it will start in Thailand on May 27. Junsu’s popularity in Thailand was proved as all 3,000 tickets, partially out for sale, were sold out only in ten minutes.
